The famous racing cutter Lulworth has been bought and is in Italy. She is currently being checked with laser beams to ascertain how much she  has moved and the hull will be accurately set up level and any distortion will be corrected. Accurate templates will be made and steelwork that is not salvageable will be replaced. The steel frame will then be planked as original and the interior rebuilt using a great deal of the original. She will benefit from an owner who will put her back as near to original as possible. She will be the most authentic "Big Class" restoration afloat. She raced with Ratsey & Lapthorn sails and will again carry Ratsey & Lapthorn "Classic Sails" when she again graces the race circuit. It is scheduled to re-launch her in 2005.
